Pawar, who is also the chief of the World Cup organising committee, is facing flak for the manner in which ticketing for the World Cup final was handled. The Mumbai Cricket Association had earlier in the week made 4,000 tickets available to the general public for the final match to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 2. The remaining 27,000 seats at the refurbished stadium will be shared by MCA members and ICC's commercial partners.
However, on Tuesday the official tickets distribution website Kyazoonga.com crashed leading to no tickets being sold. According to the reports ten million fans seeking just 1000 tickets led to the website to crash in just 20 minutes, the official ticket agency revealed.
